im planning to buy a toyota corolla 2010 but i dont want halogen bulbs so i wanted to know which is better Xenon or LEDs.
I also wanted to know
do i have to get a conversion kid for LED lights b/c i know that i have to get a conversion kid for Xenon lights
n if i do go with xenon lights is it worth getting the conversion kit

I just bought a 350z 2006 but i would like to put xenon lights but i don’t know if I have to buy only the bulbs or all the complete system?.. And where can I find it??

I want to change the stock lights of my 08 bmw x3 to xenon lights and have a few questions. Do i just buy bulbs and change them or do i need a full conversion kit. and if i need the kit is it a hard process to do.

HID headlamp bulbs do not run on low-voltage DC current, so they require a ballast with either an internal or external ignitor. An electrical ballast is a device intended to limit the amount of current in an electric circuit. The ignitor is integrated into the bulb in D1 and D3 systems, and is either a separate unit or part of the ballast in D2 and D4 systems. The ballast controls the current to the bulb. The ignition and ballast operation proceeds in three stages. 1. Ignition Phase. A high voltage pulse is used to produce a spark, in a manner similar to a spark plug, which ionises the Xenon gas, creating a conducting tunnel between the tungsten electrodes. Electrical resistance is reduced within the tunnel, and current flows between the electrodes. 2. Turn-On phase. The bulb is driven with controlled load. Because the arc is operated at high power, the temperature in the bulb rises quickly. The metallic salts vaporise, and the arc is intensified and made visually more complete. The resistance between the electrodes also falls. The electronic ballast control gear registers this and automatically switches to continuous operation. 3. Continuous operation. I have a 2000 Honda Civic. Im looking to buy the best headlight bulbs to make them look like xenon lights. I know I can convert the whole headlight system, but its only a civic so I dont wanna spend that kind of money. Just a good set of imposter bulbs will do.
Im looking for the best xenon imposter headlight bulbs, I do not care about how much visibilty I will lose. Im just looking for a nice sporty look.

I recently traded my 350Z for an X Terra. I used to love the blue xenon lights on my z, and I thought I could just buy xenon light bulbs and replace the ones on the xterra, to get the same effect.
I called the parts dept at my Nissan dealership, and I was told that
it is a whole system that creates the effect I had with my Z lights.
Basically, he said that if I just change the bulbs, I will not get the same light effects on the X terra. Am sure he knows what he is talking about, but so many of you responded in a previous question that the xenon bulbs are purchasable anywhere, and produce the white blueish light. Tell me from your experience .
Am basically confused, please clarify !
