YAMAHA TDM900 SP PROJECT – XENON LIGHTS

Hi all,

I’m about to buy some HID Xenon lights for my motorcycle. Then I found out I can get H4 LED light bulbs as well.

My question is, which is brighter? HID Xenon or LEDs?

I am mechanically-challenged, so I don’t really want to start installing ballasts and relays for the HID lights. But then again, I really want the brightest light possible.
Extra question:

Would LED lights be at least brighter than my current halogen light bulb?

Installing xenon bulbs only, this is NOT a full hid system to be clear.

I found replacement light bulbs on ebay for my motorcycle. they claim that they are xenon bulbs, but from the picture you can clearly see the incandescent filament inside. Isn’t xenon bulb filled just with xenon gas without filament? This one just looks like a regular bulb painted blue on the outside.

Are Xenon Bulbs illegal on a motorcycle if you dont have a rebuilt headlight housing? I heard they were from a friend. Jus wanted to know

This is my Slideshow of how i installed my HID kit, i start off taking of the front fairing cowl and headlight casing. then i put in the slim ballasts, and putting in the xenon bulbs. ::Disclaimer:: this modification is only legal with a rebuilt headlight fitted for xenon bulbs, i am only showing this how to for show and off road purposes only. as far as i know most xenons are illegal unless they are stock or have a rebuilt housing that refocuses the headlight in a safe manner. do at your own risk. and have fun with the install:)

If the lights of my motorcycle are hid xenon; can I convert or do the PIAA lamps HID? installing the ballast and the bulbs of hids xenon?
