Is there a "daylight" bulb for a shop light that uses a Quartz Halogen double ended bulb?

I saw on the internet that you can use shop lights as budget lighting kits for photography. I had two laying around my house and they work nice, but the light they produce is horrible. They have a 500w double ended bulb and they produce a yellow color. I wanted to know if there is a bulb I can use with the shop lights that produces clean bright white light. I have seen other bulbs that are “daylight” equivalent with a rating of like 5000k. Is there a bulb like that or close to that I can use for my shop lights? Thanks.

yes you can get a full range of daylight bulbs and tubes contact a local commercial lighting outlet. They are not a DIY store stock item

Use blue gels over your yellow halogen lights, or a 80b filter, or set your white balance using a white or grey card – refer setting WB in your camera manual.

You can reflect the lights or use old white shirts to difuss the lights (be safe)- get creative with your lights.

To power 5k ights (5000watts) you need a three phase power supply or a high end generator to power them.

Lighting is complicated and simple – study up. Oh and yes you can buy daylight or 5600 – 6500 kelvin lights – refer a professional photography supplier.
